In addition to being an attorney with years of litigation experience, I am the mother of three children, two of whom have special needs. I know from personal experience the joys and challenges of raising a child with special needs. I also know first-hand the frustration of watching your child struggle in school and feeling that it is because he/she is not receiving what is necessary to succeed.
I am familiar through personal experience and professional experience with all of the stages in the special education process, beginning with the initial evaluation and ending with a Due Process Hearing or appeal.

As an attorney, I can fully represent clients from determinations of eligibility through Due Process Hearings, and if necessary, I can appeal to the Federal Court. I am licensed and trained to practice law, which is the best background one can have when advocating for a child in this field. Additionally, my presence as an attorney at meetings and in negotiations will carry more leverage than a lay advocate. Many parents believe it is less expensive to hire a lay advocate instead of an attorney. However, my fees are extremely reasonable. Additionally, I will work quickly and efficiently to get your child what he/she needs. Prolonging a case causes a delay in your child receiving what he/she needs and causes legal expenses to mount. As the parent of two children with special needs, I know all to well how expensive it is to raise a child with special needs. I am sensitive to the financial constraints of families, and for that reason, I actively try to contain a family's legal expenses.
